At RCC, our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ. This is a mission that goes all the way back to the original disciples to whom Jesus gave the command:
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
- Matthew 28:19-20a [ESV]
We pursue this mission by developing believers in a holistic fashion that will fully engage them in the disciple-making process, positioning them to be formed as disciples and to begin contributing in the formation of others. The springboard into this process is RCC’s Sunday worship gathering and our Community Life activities. From those places, we invite people into our dual component process of making disciples: Small Groups and Cruxial Studies.
Small Groups focus on cultivating the character qualities, skills, and cultural convictions that are essential to Christian disciples. Members mutually encourage and challenge each other in their personal walk with Christ and explore ways in which they can participate in the Gospel mission. These groups also encourage their members to participate in Cruxial Studies, a range of learning opportunities aimed at substantially increasing the knowledge and skills of disciples. Full circle, this cycle forms believers into people of action who follow Jesus daily and engage in the mission of the Church.
